You're Hired! New Video Highlights Workcred's Role in Workforce Credentialing

3/02/2017

Workcred, an affiliate of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has released a new animated video that explains the challenges of the U.S. credentialing system and highlights how Workcred is helping workforce stakeholders better assess the quality, effectiveness, and market value of credentials in a competitive job market.

The short video underscores how the U.S. faces a skills gap, even as the economy rebounds and unemployment declines. To get a competitive edge in the workforce, many prospective employees may seek credentials, but they may also find it is often difficult to weigh the value of the various available degrees, certificates, certifications, badges, licenses, and micro-credentials.

Workcred, formed in 2014, serves as a solution: The not-for-profit corporation helps strengthen workforce quality, collaborating with industry, government, and training and education partners to improve the quality, market value, and effectiveness of credentials.
